Marzipan Flowers with Jam

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

100 g Marzipan

50 g Powder Sugar

Zest and Juice from 1 Lemon 

1 Egg

100 g softened Butter

100 g Flour

80 g Potato Starch

1 tsp. Baking Powder

Strawberry Jam

 

Method:

 

Mix marzipan, sugar, zest and juice from 1 lemon, egg and softened butter with a mixer. Add potato starch and baking powder. Knead the dough until smooth. Shape the dough into a ball an let it rest for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Roll out the dough (about 1,5 cm thick). Choose any of our flower-shaped cookie cutter and cut out the cookies. After that, use your finger to create a small hole in the middle of every cookie. Finally, fill these holes with jam. Put the cookies filled with jam in the oven and bake them.
