Ingredients for Linzer Cookies with Jam:
250 g Flour
100 g Caster Sugar
80 g Hazelnut Powder
150 g Butter (cut in small pieces)
1 Packet of Vanilla Sugar
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tbsp. Milk
1 Jar of Raspberry or Strawberry Jam
Method: Linzer Cookies with Jam
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar together. Add softened butter and knead until homogenous. Then add milk, an egg and hazelnuts. Mix all the ingredients together until a smooth dough is obtained.
Place the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3-4 mm. Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into desired shapes. Use a mini cookie cutter of your choice to cut out the centers of half of the cookies. If you have Linzer cookie cutters, don't hesitate to use them!
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 180 °C for about 10-12 minutes. Fill the baked cookies with jam by spreading jam on the bottom of one cookie and place another on top.
Allow the cookies to dry and set for a few hours.
