King Cake with Hazelnuts, Chocolate Chips and Pears
Ingredients for the King Cake:
140 g of grinded hazelnuts
100 g sugar
75 g melted butter - cooled
2 sheets of puff pastries
Chocolate chips
2 eggs + 1 egg yolk for glazing
2 pears

Method:
Place a puff pastry in a cake pan, prick the pastry with a fork.
Put the grinded hazelnuts, sugar, two eggs, melted butter and a diced pear in a bowl and mix them properly. Pour the mixture on the pie and hide beans in it. Thinly slice the second pear and place the slices on the cake.
Cover with the other sheet of puff pastry, sticking the edges well. Draw patterns on the lid and brush with egg yolk.
Bake in the oven at 200 °C for 20 - 30 minutes.
Decorating idea: You can cut out the remaining pastry with our cookie cutters and decorate your cake with them.
