Dinosaur biscuit: our best recipe

 

 

 

These cookies are loved by kids (and their parents) thanks to their dinosaur shape and chocolate icing. Today we’ve found out a recipe for you, so they can make these iconic little treats themselves at home using the right ingredients. It’s guaranteed that you will enjoy them!

 

All the ingredients needed to make dinosaur biscuits

 

These cookies are not complicated to bake, the only peculiarity is that no less than three different types of flour are used: classic wheat flour, whole wheat flour and rye flour.

 

 

Ingredients for about 15 cookies:

 

1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk

60 g brown sugar

140 g flour

70 g whole wheat flour

40 g corn flour

125 g butter

1 tablespoon vanilla sugar

½ teaspoon salt

150 g milk chocolate (for the icing)

- a rolling pin

- a baking tray

- baking paper

- dinosaur cookie cutters

 

 

Preparing the dough for the dinosaurs :

 

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

 

Beat the sugar, salt, egg and egg yolk. Add the flour and mix well.

Add the softened butter cut into small pieces and stir until a nice lump of dough is formed.

Place the dough between two sheets of baking paper, roll out with a rolling pin and cut out the cookies with our metal dinosaur cutters. Let them rest in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.

Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

 

Icing:

 

Melt the chocolate and spread it on the bottom of the cookies.

Place the cookies on a sheet of baking paper and let the chocolate set.

And finally... they just need to be eaten!
