Method:

Melt butter in a pan. Pour milk into a bowl. Add dry yeast, salt, egg, sugar, vanilla sugar and flour. Knead the dough with an electric mixer until smooth. Add butter and continue kneading for another 3-4 minutes. Let the dough rise in a warm place (about an hour).

Roll out the dough and cut out the doughnuts using a large round-shaped cookie cutter circle. Then cut out the holes in the middle of each doughnut using a small round-shaped cookie cutter circle. Place the doughnuts on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, then allow to rest for another 40 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

Glaze:

Mix all glaze ingredients with a whisk until smooth. The glaze shouldn’t be too runny or too thick. You can add food colours of your choice.

For decorating:

Once your doughnuts are baked and cooled, immerse each doughnut into the glaze and decorate them with sprinkle decorations.

Let your imagination run wild. Use different food colours or melted chocolate.
