Here is a simple recipe to make it with your children:
Ingredients :
- Marshmallows
- Icing sugar
- Food coloring (optional)
- A little water
Instructions :
1. In a large bowl, melt the marshmallows in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat. Stir them regularly to prevent them from burning.
2. Once the marshmallows are melted, gradually add icing sugar while mixing. Continue adding icing sugar until the dough is thick enough to knead by hand.
3. If you wish to color your sugar paste, add a few drops of food coloring at this stage and knead well to distribute the color evenly.
4. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more icing sugar. If it is too dry, add a little water, a teaspoon at a time, until you get the desired consistency.
5. Knead the sugar paste on a surface dusted with icing sugar until it is smooth and supple.
Your homemade sugar paste is now ready to be used to decorate your cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and, of course, your Christmas log!
