Cinnamon Cookies

Ingredients :

 

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions :

Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.

In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and creamy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, then mix until everything is well incorporated.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and egg mixture, stirring until a dough forms.

Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 °F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 6 mm thick.

Use cookie cutters to cut shapes out of the dough and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges.

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, you can enjoy them as is or decorate them with cinnamon icing for even more flavor.
