Here is a recipe for terrace-shaped cookies:
Ingredients :
- 200g flour
- 100g soft butter
- 100g powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- Jam or melted chocolate to stick the biscuits
- Icing sugar for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions :
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
- In a large bowl, beat the soft butter with the sugar until the mixture is creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the flour and then add the pinch of salt until the dough is homogeneous.
- Divide the dough into three parts of decreasing size.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out each piece of dough until it is approximately 0.5 cm thick.
- Using cookie cutters of different sizes (rounds, stars, etc.), cut shapes out of each piece of dough.
- Place the cut-out biscuits on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned around the edges.
- Let the cookies cool on a rack.
- Once cooled, assemble the biscuits into terraces, using jam or melted chocolate as glue between each biscuit layer.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar for a decorative touch, if desired.
