Which cookie cutters are you going to choose?

Ingredients for Salt Dough:

1 Cup of Patent flour (USA – Pastry flour)

1 Cup of Plain flour (USA – All-purpose flour)

1 Cup of Salt

1 Cup Hot Water

1 tbsp. Sunflower Oil

Required baking tools:

Cookie cutters

Twine or Ribbon

Toothpicks

Method: Salt Dough

Mix all the ingredients until smooth. The dough should not stick to your hands. If it does stick, add a little more flour.

Tip: First add salt to the water and stir until all the salt has dissolved. Then add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into desired shapes. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Use a toothpick to poke a hole at the top of each ornament for hanging.

Let air dry for several days.

Tip: I flipped my Christmas ornaments over regularly to make sure they dry evenly. Once your Christmas ornaments are dry and ready for hanging, you can also paint them.
