Orange Ring Cookies










120 g softened Butter

1 Egg

80 g Sugar

1 tbsp. Orange Juice

Orange Zest

250 g Flour

1 Pinch of Baking Powder


150 g Icing Sugar

1 tbsp. Orange Juice




Beat butter and sugar together until frothy. Add an egg, orange juice and orange zest. Afterwards stir in the flour and baking powder. Mix all ingredients together until homogeneous. Form the dough into a ball and wrap it in a plastic foil. Allow the dough to rest in a cool place for an hour.


Roll out the dough (about 5 mm thickness) and cut out rings with a circle-shaped cookie cutter. Cut out the middle with a smaller circle-shaped (or for example flower-shaped) cookie cutter. You can also use a cookie cutter with an integrated circle (or flower) in the middle.


Preheat the oven to 180 °C and bake the cookies for about 12 minutes until lightly golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and glaze them with icing.



Blend icing sugar with orange juice until smooth and glaze your cookies with this and let them dry.
