Linzer Cookies with Jam










500 g Plain Flour

250 g Cold Butter

100 g Icing Sugar

1 Egg Yolk

Zest of one organic Lemon




Mix together the flour and sugar. Add butter, egg yolks, lemon zest and place for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Roll out the dough and using special cutters, cut out special. Do not forget to make a hole in half of the biscuits (in any form).


Place on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes. Once the biscuits have cooled down, spread one half with jam or chocolate, etc., and place a matching biscuit with the hole on top. The jam should not be too liquid, nor contain fruit pieces. You can also use puff pastry for a savory alternative. We recommend to fill the biscuits before baking, for example, with cheese.
