Gingerbread – made easily!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

 

500 g Plain Flour

250 g Icing Sugar

2 Eggs

100 g Butter

2 tbsp. Honey

Spices – star anise, cinnamon, anise, cloves, etc. – all ground

½ tsp. Salt

 

Method:

 

Preheat the oven to 180°C and mix all ingredients together. Roll out the dough, cut out different shapes and bake  10 minutes until golden.  Spread the gingerbreads with mixed egg yolk and milk while still hot. To decorate the gingerbread with icing, mix together 1 egg white with sifted icing sugar. If the frosting is too stiff, add a few drops of lemon. The gingerbread can be decorated or completely coated.
