Decorated Halloween biscuits - pumpkin, ghost, bat
The spooky season of Halloween is just around the corner. Prepare in advance with our easy recipe for Halloween shortbread. You can then decorate them with royal icing.
Models of cookie cutters used
Ingredients for about 50 pieces:
- 160 g flour
- 115 g butter
- 70 g sugar
- 20 g
- egg
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 pinch salt

To make the Halloween cookies :
Mix the room-temperature butter with the sugar until creamy. Add the egg and continue mixing until completely incorporated. Add the sifted flour, spices, and a pinch of salt (you can choose other spices and adjust the quantity to suit your taste).
Once the dough is smooth, cover it with cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 4 mm. Cut out the desired shapes using Halloween-themed cookie cutters.
Bake at 180 °C for around 10 to 15 minutes - the cookies should be lightly browned.
Once your shortbread has cooled, you can decorate it with royal icing.
