Cookie Mushrooms with Chocolate










200 g softened Butter

1 Egg

2 Packet of Vanilla Sugar

100 g Icing Sugar

½ Packet of Baking Powder

100 g Cornstarch

500 g Wheat Flour

1 Pinch of Salt

Dark Chocolate




Cream softened butter with icing sugar and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl. Add an egg and stir quickly. Afterwards add cornstarch, a pinch of salt and baking powder and mix all the ingredients together well. Sift flour gradually into the mixture and mix the mixture with a wooden spatula (not with a whisk) until it is not sticky anymore.


Let the dough rest for 1 hour. Use a rolling pin for rolling out the rested dough on your work surface. Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into desired shapes. Bake your cookies for about 15 minutes at 180 °C.


Take the cookies out of the oven and allow them to cool first. Melt dark chocolate over a water bath. Put the finishing touch on your cookies and dip one end of each cookie in chocolate. Before serving, let the chocolate-dipped cookies stand until chocolate is set.
