Baked Doughnuts

Ingredients:

600 g Flour

110 g Sugar

30 dl Milk

dry Yeast (7 g) or fresh Yeast (14 g)

2 tbsp. softened or melted Butter

2 Eggs

1 tsp. Salt

Method:

Melt dry yeast in warm milk and leave it for 10 minutes. Add melted butter, sugar, salt and then the eggs. Add the flour. Mix well to form the dough (you can use the kitchen blender).

The dough should be smooth, elastic but not too sticky. Cover with a clean cloth and let it rise until it double volume.

Roll out the dough on a slightly floury worktop to a thickness of about 10 mm, cut out big hearts by using a cookie cutter. Cut out a small heart in the middle of each big heart.

Put doughnuts on a baking tin covered with baking paper. Let them rise for about 45 minutes.

Heat the oven at 180 °C and bake the doughnuts 8 to 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt the 100g of butter.

When leaving the oven, let the doughnuts cool for 2 minutes, then put them in butter on both sides and pass them into the sugar. Put them on a rack to cool.
