April Fool's Day Cookies

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients: 

 

250 g Flour

125 g Butter

125 g Sugar

1/2 Packet of Baking Powder

2 Packets of Vanilla Sugar

1 Pinch of Salt

1 Egg

For Decorating:

Powdered Sugar

Chocolate Spread

 

Method:

 

Stir all the ingredients together until thoroughly combined and smooth. Let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3-5 mm, then use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into fish shapes. Use a mini cookie cutter and cut smaller fish into the centres of half of the fishes.

 

Bake the cookies at 175 °C for about 10-12 minutes. Finally, let your cookies cool. Spread the bottom halves (without any motif in the centre) of each cookie with chocolate spread. Place the tops of the cookies (with a small fish in the centre) on each bottom and dust them lightly with powdered sugar.
